We research, develop, manufacture, distribute and provide after-sales services for clinical testing instruments, reagents and data management systems used in medical diagnosis, treatment, and examinations. Our main specialization is the medical testing field where we produce clinical analysis devices and in-vitro diagnostic devices to contribute to the health and well-being of people all over the world through the advancement of science and the discovery of new technologies.

From Kyoto to the world

Our main laboratory is located inside a historical Japanese garden named “Yosuien", which dates all the way back to Japan’s Edo Period (1603–1867). Under the concepts of "freedom" and "active communication", the offices and laboratories of the research and development area are combined, allowing ideas to be immediately tested. This layout stimulates research and development shared throughout our world-wide affiliates.

ARKRAY and its history with BGM

ARKRAY’s history extends to over half a century, and ever since its founding has been contributing to the medial society by creating new values that have never existed in the market before. For example, ARKRAY was the first in the world to invent a self-monitored blood glucose measurement device, making glycemic control possible through a compact device. ARKRAY is embracing many new challenges in diverse healthcare markets in order to contribute to the health of more people.
